NFL Week 10 Survivor Pool Picks | Coach Bob’s Safest Plays to Survive and Advance

Survivor pools aren’t about flash—they’re about survival. The key is staying alive one week at a time while managing your big-name teams wisely. Anyone can burn the Chiefs or Eagles early, but smart players know how to pace themselves through the schedule, find value in matchups, and pick teams that simply take care of business. It’s not about being bold—it’s about being consistent.

Last week, we went 2–2, taking some tough beats from the Packers and Lions, both losing at home in games they should have sealed. That’s how survivor goes sometimes. A couple bad fourth quarters can turn a good week into a sweat, but we’re still standing heading into Week 10—and that’s all that matters.

Now let’s get to this week’s slate. I’ve got three strong survivor options that bring stability on both sides of the ball, plus one Top Play that I believe is the safest pick on the board.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills are back on track and rolling into November with balance and momentum. This is a team that ranks 3rd in total offense (382.9 YPG) and 4th in scoring (29.6 PPG) while giving up just 20.9 points per game, which puts them inside the top 10 defensively.

They’ve won seven straight matchups against Miami, and this version of the Dolphins defense is soft against the run—28th in rushing defense (145.6 YPG). Buffalo’s offense matches up perfectly, with the league’s #1-ranked rushing attack (164.4 YPG) and efficient red-zone scoring.

The Bills also play clean football, ranking top 5 in time of possession and 3rd-down conversions. Survivor players should love that—they control the clock and rarely give teams extra possessions.

This is a strong, steady play with high win probability and limited downside.

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle has been one of the most underrated survivor options all season. They’ve won six of their last seven and are quietly building one of the most balanced profiles in the league.

Defensively, the Seahawks rank 10th in total defense (305.9 YPG) and 1st in rushing defense (75.7 YPG). That’s huge against an Arizona team that depends heavily on the run to move the chains.

At home, Seattle has been a machine—5-1 SU in their last six home games, and Arizona is 0-8 SU in their last eight against Seattle. Geno Smith and that offense might not light up the scoreboard, but they don’t need to. Their defense and home-field advantage do most of the work.

Low risk, consistent execution, and a dominant matchup—Seattle’s one of the safest survivor picks of the week.

Indianapolis Colts

This one might surprise some, but the Colts are a perfect mid-tier survivor play. They’re the #1 scoring offense in the NFL (33.8 PPG) and rank 8th in red-zone touchdown rate (68%). The run game has been steady, averaging over 130 rushing yards per game, and their defense is improving week to week.

They face an Atlanta team that’s 2–6 SU in its last eight and ranks 22nd in rushing defense (126.4 YPG). Indianapolis can wear them down with the ground attack and control the game’s pace.

The Colts have quietly gone 6–3 ATS in their last nine and bring better balance on both sides of the ball. If you’ve already used Seattle or Buffalo, Indy’s a nice pivot play.

Top Play: Denver Broncos

If you’re still holding Denver, this is your week. They’re home against Las Vegas, and this is as clean a survivor spot as you’ll get.

The Broncos are on a heater—5-1 SU at home, and their defense has climbed into the league’s elite, ranking 5th in total defense (281.4 YPG) and #1 in third-down defense (29.9%).

Las Vegas, meanwhile, can’t get anything going offensively. They’re 30th in total offense (276.4 YPG), 31st in scoring (14.7 PPG), and 1-6 SU in their last seven games.

Denver’s run game is picking up steam, and their defense is smothering teams at home. The Raiders haven’t scored more than 20 points in any of their last five road games, and they’ve gone 1–4 ATS away from home.

This checks every box for a top survivor pick—strong defense, home field, rest advantage, and a struggling opponent.

Final Thought:
Survivor is a marathon, not a sprint. Stick to disciplined plays, don’t overthink the matchups, and avoid risky underdogs. Buffalo, Seattle, and Indy are solid, but Denver’s the safest anchor on the board this week. Survive and advance—that’s the name of the game.
