Survivor pools are all about strategy — picking the right team each week without burning your best options too early. You don’t just need a winner, you need a plan that balances safety and long-term thinking.
Here are three of my favorite survivor pool plays for Week 2:
Dallas Cowboys over New York Giants
At 15 points of confidence, the Cowboys are a rock-solid option. Dallas has dominated this rivalry, winning 8 straight and covering in most of them. The Giants’ offense still looks shaky, and I don’t expect them to suddenly turn it around here.
Los Angeles Rams over Tennessee Titans
At 14 points, I’m riding the Rams. Tennessee is in a tailspin, and their offense hasn’t shown much spark. The Rams, on the other hand, are sharp and balanced on both sides of the ball. Road favorite, yes, but one I trust.
Buffalo Bills over New York Jets
At 13 points, give me Buffalo. The Bills are simply too explosive for the Jets, and Josh Allen has historically carved up New York’s defense. The Jets have a scrappy roster, but they don’t have the firepower to keep up.
